your story, and his. it lives here in the middle, never at the top. talk about what you've built and your method, not your feelings about it. numbers beat adjectives.
hi, i'm andrea
i've spent [three decades] watching what happens when people are actually seen
i've taught yoga for [xx] years. i've led the thresholds retreat series, [x] retreats, [xxx] people, and i've had one observation hold every single time: being witnessed is the most potent medicine i've ever seen. i've yet to watch it not make a difference.
so when i learned there was a mirror that lets you witness yourself, without the reversal, without the flinch, i knew i had to build a day around it. not a workshop about you. a workshop with you.
and this is John
John Walter, creator of the True Mirror
John was studying physics in california in the early 80s when he noticed the face he saw in the mirror was not the face anyone else saw. he built his first True Mirror in [1982] and has spent the years since putting people in front of it, over 25,000 of them, at [festivals, universities, and private sessions]. he gave up a paid gig to be in manasquan on october 3 because he wants to work with people who will actually sit with it. that's you.
